Beertech FAQs

How It Works

The main function of the system is simply to delay deposits, we do not stop them.

Within the beer there are 4 basic elements; yeast, carbohydrates (sugars), proteins, and bacteria and as the beer is dispensed it causes a static charge on the positively charged side of the pipe.

These elements carry a very faint pos/neg charge causing the negative side of the particle to be drawn to the positively charged side of the pipe, they then adhere to the bio film in the beer pipe and being 'live' product, the bacteria immediately start to feed on the elements and multiplication starts.

If line cleaning is not done the deposits from the bacteria start to cause the fobbing effect and eventually will continue to multiply, break off and enter the beer dispense causing lack of sparkle to start with quickly followed by cloudiness and severe off-flavours.

This animation shows what is currently happening inside pipes and how BeerTech can alter the process allowing the line cleaning extension.

The second animation shows how the FlowMaster System addresses the problem.

Thereafter with less build up and proper line cleaning, by using the correct recommended brewery cleaner and the correct dilution, publicans can have a better chance of attacking and removing the bio-film and as a consequence will achieve cleaner pipes, giving better quality beer.
